Young Actors Ensemble Audition for “The Once That Never Was” (Sandy Springs, GA)
Title: “THE ONCE THAT NEVER WAS”
Synopsis: When a golden faerie locket is stolen from around Queen Titania’s neck both the faerie world and real world collide. With the Fates nipping at their heels and witches brewing spells, the search for what has been lost stirs up questions of love, destiny and reality. If only the elves weren’t so bothersome…
ROLES:
JULIAN (Son of Oberon): M/6-8 yrs old
Please prepare monologue if possible. Cold reading from script also possible.
ROSE PETAL (Faerie): F/13-18 yrs old
Must be a proficient dancer. Please prepare a quick routine (ballet, jazz or contemporary). Audition will include cold reading.
SUCCUBI (Witch of the Inner Woods): F/15-18 yrs old
Must be strong singer. Please prepare song. Audition will include cold reading.
ISOBEL & RONA (Witches): F/13-18 yrs old
Audition will include cold reading. No singing required.
SCHOOLGIRLS: F/8-12 yrs old
Various parts available. English Accent Necessary. Prepare monologue or cold reading from script.
DOPPLEGANGER: M/F/12-18 yrs old
Must be gymnast (back handspring, etc…). Audition will include cold reading.
BRILLIG (Creature of the swamp): M/14-18 yrs old
Must be great physical actor. Audition will include cold reading.
