Auditions for 12th Night, 16th Annual Coronado FREE Shakespeare at Coronado Playhouse

When: Monday and Wednesday, June 25, 27 from 6:30-8:45pm. Callbacks TBA
Small stipends for the run of the show. $25-$100 depending on size of role.
Note: Rehearsals will start Sunday, July 8. Rehearsals will be Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday through August 5. After the summer show closes, there may be the possibility of rehearsing on Thursday rather than Wednesday evenings, depending on the schedule of those cast. The first month of rehearsals will be in French scenes so not everyone will rehearse all four nights. Please check your calendar through the end of September so that you can list conflicts when you audition. Performances will be Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 8 PM and Sunday at 2 PM, August 30 thru September 23, 2012.
Where: Coronado Community Center (check at Rec Center Desk for exact room)
1845 Strand Way, Coronado, CA 92118 (Do not go to the Coronado Playhouse door as there will be dress/tech rehearsals in progress for A Man Who Came to Dinner)
Needed: 10-12 men and 3-6 women. Designated roles can be either gender. (see descriptions at coronadoplayhouse.com Need 2-4 musicians who play stringed instruments for pre-show and for musical interludes within the play. May or may not be speaking roles.
Bring headshot and resume (if you have them) to auditions or send to producer Mary Anderson. You can also attach to audition sheet.
Audition format: All roles open. Open auditions. No appointment necessary. We will start with those who have a prepared Shakespearean monologue and then have others do cold readings from the script. After everyone is heard once, the director will ask those auditioning to read selected scenes from the script.
Also need: stage manager, set construction, prop master, costume crew, light/sound operator, and running crew for the show.
