Auditions for the stage reading of a new romantic comedy (adult themed), “The Side Order” will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 from 12:00 pm- 4:00 pm in the Cabaret Room at the Ramada, 6426 Lower York Road, New Hope, PA, 18938. Auditions will be cold readings from the script. Please bring a 1 minute monologue to the audition. Performances will be October 12 and 13th at the J&W Gallery, located in New Hope. Director Stephen Stahl seeks 7 women: 30s/40s, early 60s and 70s; 1 man 50s/60s; and 2 men, early 30s.
Character Descriptions:
Grace Domaco: (female, late 50s) West Chester matron in the midst of seeking love for her daughter, and redemption for her past.
Kathleen Domaco: (female, late 20s) Grace’s daughter, who is a teacher at a Catholic School.
Willard Domanco III: (male, early 60s) Grace’s husband, prominent business man.
The 20 Voice Woman: (female, late 50s) head waitress, African American.
Ted: (male, early 30s) waiter an aspiring writer.
Maybelle Deveuroux: (female, early80s) International renewed screen legend.
Dale: ( male, early 40s) Head chef/owner.
Jenai: (female, 18) Waitress and former runaway.
Anejo: (female, early 20s) Hispanic maidservant
Sister Boom Boom: (male, early 50s) Transvestite educator
Young Grace: (female, early 20s)
Young Willard: (male, late 20s)
All roles are unpaid. When show transfers to full production, actors will have right of refusal
