The Hitching Post Theater is a unique and creative conception for artists looking for challenge and excitement.
With 1 theme and only 10 ½ hours, 5 short and audacious plays will be the ultimate result of dedicated creation.
The Hitching Post Theater Format
At 9:00am producers meet 5 writers, who at random will pick 2 head shots each. This is their cast.
The writers then take the next 4 hours to write a 7-10 page short play.
At 1:00pm the 5 plays are given to the waiting Actors and Directors. They have until 6:30 to rehearse. Each play has a single run through on stage.
Opening performance is at 7:30pm.
Closing performance is at 9:00pm.
