The character of Valentin Martinez MeDermott is one which the actor who is cast will have a character who is truly a fully developed person. A man who lives in the 21st century but who could have easily dominated the 1930’s, 1940’s, or 1950’s as a power-house actor such as…Clark Gable, Marlon Brando, James Dean, Humphrey Bogart, Dean Martin, or Cary Grant. If you like old movies then this is the character for you!
Casting for a leading male actor, the character can be in his late 20’s…late 30’s, he’s an up and coming politico. At first, content with enjoying his youth, he putters away his time focusing on frivolous bills and acts. When not involved in designing his political future, Valentin Martinez McDermott, finds himself often having to spend time with his girlfriends of three years. Completely smitten, girlfriend, Tammie Wilson., is sure this relationship will take, so much so she has given up pursuing dreams of her own to make sure Valentin Martinez McDermott is as filled with wonderment as possible. Everything seems to be going smoothly until the arrival of a high school sweetheart who apparently no longer operates on the “up and up”. Convinced her former lover will make a perfect partner in crime Maggie McGarrity moves in to attempt to entice Valentin Martinez McDermott to partake in a deal of a lifetime. Introduction: Times are changing for the sleepy town of Silver Springs. Maggie McGarrity, the long estranged daughter of Lady McGarrity, the local bar-keep, has finally found her way back home after a long period of self-imposed exile. Upon her return she finds herself becoming reacquainted and re-involved the members of the town she had long wished to forget. Questions begin to arise as Maggie’s presence begins to unsettle the going-ons of this watering hole. Deception, intrigue, permeates this play as the human condition and experience are explored and experienced. McGarrity’s Finish serves as a reminder that no matter how alone we feel the person next to us is most certainly as lonely. If we only take a moment to realize that being human is what binds us all, extending a hand will make towering walls fall.

We are a true theatre company; our last show after closing in Plainsboro, New Jersey ran in New York City. Our show opens March 20 and 21st, 2010. Rehearsals are on Saturdays in Plainsboro for 3 to 4 hours. Great opportunity or anyone interested in trying acting or for someone who is experienced in acting.
We are also looking into bringing the show to other venues in New Jersey and New York.
