Synopsis:
“You Go Your Way” is the story of two close friends, Sine (female) and Lenny, living in New York City in the present day. Lenny and Sine have become romantically involved with each other over time, but have not committed to a relationship.
The film takes place on the morning that Sine leaves for a winter of house-sitting in Maine. The film deals with the complexities of their relationship (the line between friendship and love, intimacy and romance) and with the feeling of loneliness or anonymity that can come from living as a young person in New York City.

Seeking:
Sine (18-24 Female Any Ethnicity): Sine is a woman in her early twenties living in NYC. She is and open minded, free spirited woman. She has become intimately involved with her good friend, Lenny, who also lives in the city. Tired of the city and everything that comes with it, Sine decides to spend the Winter house-sitting and self-searching in Maine. This, of course, means leaving Lenny behind.
Lenny (18-24 Male Any Ethnicity): Lenny is a man in his early twenties living in New York City. He has become intimately and romantically involved with his good friend, Sine. Lenny loves Sine, but the situation is complicated and she is leaving the city this afternoon to go to Maine for the winter (if not longer). Lenny must determine what he is to do about Sine leaving and the feeling of loneliness and anonymity that can come from living in NYC.

Open auditions are being scheduled for CALLING HOME, a DV web series scheduled to launch in March 2008.

Six episodes are to be shot between February and May 2008 at Arlington Studios in the Boston area. (with possibly more episodes to come). This is a non-union production. No pay (as of yet) but great exposure and opportunity.

NYU Senior Thesis Film. 15 minutes, HD.

A psychological drama about a young schizophrenic woman, Maria Ana, who while running from her past seeks haven at a rural convent. But instead of the peace she’s hoping to find she is immersed into a web of deciet, corruption, and paranoia. As her stay wears on, and her symptoms mainfest more often, Father Milovich and the others at the convent become conivnced that she is a victim of demonic possession. And the only way to save her is to perform a brutal, and deadly, exorcism.

Breakdowns:
Father Milovich- Male, any ethnicity, 30-50, strong-willed and strong shouldered man, handsome. Becomes convinced that Maria Ana is possessed and heads the exorcism.

Mother Sophia- Female, white, 55-80, caring, yet stern. She takes Maria Ana under her wing and is not easily persuaded by Father Milovich’s paranoia. She is eventually convinced however and helps perform the exorcism.

Sister Anastasia- Female, white, 25-35, petite and doll-like. A novice nun who befriends Maria Ana and gets too close to Father Milovich.

“Dig” Character Descriptions

Mike (lead) - a quiet, reserved young man between the ages of 20-25 that
has difficulty opening up and facing problems. Must note that these
emotions do eventually erupt in the film so as an actor, you need to be
able to show the following extreme emotions in a believable manner:
pain, anger, frustration, and heartache. Mike is half Hispanic, half
Caucasian, but looks more Caucasian.

Manuel - a cheerful, loving Hispanic Grandfather between the ages of
55-65 who raises goats and tends to his small plot of land.

of 55-65 who loves to cook for the two men in her life, her husband and

SHOOTING THIS THURSDAY: 2/7/08, around 2 hours. In the SoHo area.

A group of slacker types sit around, their daily routine, crapping
around, monotony. It’s minutes later and “the end of the world.” The
three each react very differently when they see it approaching.

This is an extremely small 4-person crew project, shot on 16mm without
sound for an NYU production class. The film will be around 2 minutes
long, and copies will be provided (although transfers may take some time).

3 characters:

2 FEMALES
1 MALE

1 is nervous, scared, and freaks - running for safety.
2 feels nothing.
3 feels just pure excitement - laughs, smiles.

No dialogue, subtle character expression, this will be a collaborative
effort, and a fun simple way to create contrasting characters.

This call is fairly Urgent, since the shoot is THIS THURSDAY, the 7th
at around 2pm. The shoot will last around 2 hours.

EVA PERON 25-35 (Female) seeking a strong, versatile actress who belts to an F and can dance. Must be charismatic and tough at the same time. Also must play age range from 18 to 33 throughout the course of the play and have the endurance to withstand the rigors of such a demanding part.

JUAN PERON 35-50 (Male) becomes the president of Argentina. Must be stately, charismatic, charming and authoritative. Vocal range, legit baritone with a powerful voice.

CHE GUEVARA 30-45 A handsome, hard-edged man with an extremely volatile nature and a high, rock tenor voice. He is passionate, impulsive, jealous, manipulative and is the narrator/commentato r of the piece. Must be able to grow a beard. Must also have the stamina and endurance to withstand the rigors of such a demanding role.

MIGALDI 35-45 A Tango singer and Eva’s first real love interest that helps her get where she’s going. Must be handsome, suave, in shape and have a high baritone voice. The role will also be in the ensemble.

AUDITIONS FOR HAIR the American Tribal Love-Rock Musical

Palace Theater, Waterbury, Connecticut

The Hair tribe consists of 20-25 male and female performers, minimum age 18 at the time of audition (photographic identification will be required). No maximum age but must be believable as characters aged 18 to 24. A wide ethnic diversity is strongly desired for this production (several specific roles require performers of color, but alternative casting is possible). While theatrical experience is helpful, it is not mandatory. (The original Broadway cast had a lot of first-timers).

Hud √ (black male, baritone) The “in-your-face” African-American tribe member, more into play than politics, but definitely aware.

Sheila √ (female, mezzo/belt) A street-smart student and social activist, but totally in love with Berger.

Jeannie √ (female, alto) Wise, sweet, creative, pregnant, a follower, but she also acts as the “greek chorus” of the tribe.

Chrissy √ (female, mezzo) A true flower child and street urchin who misses her former lover.

Dionne √ (black female, Motown belt) Sassy African-American girl, should be able to handle a strong Dianna Ross impersonation.

While these are the clearly identified characters, other members of the tribe play various supporting roles and characters including: parents, high school principals, police, soldiers, astronauts, Native American Indians, Aretha Franklin, Abe Lincoln, various singing trios and solo vocal lines throughout the show. There are solo lines for almost all tribe members.

The Audition

Please be prepared to sing a representative up-tempo song that shows off your voice. A piano accompanist will be provided (please bring your own sheet music), or you may provide a karaoke-style CD (no vocals on the CD, not even backing vocals, please).

Dance You will be asked to learn and repeat a short dance movement during the audition. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes for moving and dancing.

Weekly rehearsals Thursdays from 7 to 10 pm at the NVCC Fine Arts Center. There will be some weekend rehearsals in March, April and May. A full rehearsal calendar is available at www.richardgard.com

Performances take place May 9 at the Palace Theater in Waterbury and May 16 on the Mainstage of the Fine Arts Center at Naugatuck Valley Community College.

This is a non-equity production and actors work pro-bono or for college credit. This production is presented concurrently with a statewide historical, educational Conference and Retrospective 1968-2008 that focuses on the dominant issues in the show.

This is a non-union production

Ideal candidates for the three roles are women willing to spend between 4-6 max hours on set pre-day for this short. Locations are North/Central Jersey such as, Roselle Park, Warren,and Flemington.

Lee- Ann Myers ( Allie’s girlfriend) She is an attractive yet average woman a little “boyish” between the ages of 26- 29. Lee wants to continue her relationship with Allie although she is tired of her mother and sister taking advantage of her. She wants Allie to be truthful to her mother as well.

The Unforgiving is a short film about a young man, (Sammy), who was forgiven a debt of 50 million dollars by big boss man Mr. Pitts, who mercifully spared his life. Sammy however, refused to forgive a young woman (Cynthia) for her debt of 50 dollars and savagely beats her. What Sammy does not know is that Cynthia is Mr. Pitts baby sister and when he finds out Sammy is Cynthia’s attacker he demonstrates the true meaning of being unforgiving.
