Casting Call for Short Film “Temple of the Laughing Monkey” – Atlanta, GA
Casting Call Details:
3rd Fathom Entertainment is seeking Local Actors for short film production starting (TBD). Principle Actors will be needed for 2 days of filming. This is a non‐paying role but meals/credit/copy will be provided. Submitting to Sundance and other film festivals in the coming months.

Synopsis: Horror
“Temple of the Laughing Monkey” is about a young man whose family splits and he goes to live with his mother in Nebraska. There he befriends the town troublemaker and together they uncover the Temple. Inside this temple there is folklore that says if you have a wish and you leave something for the monkey he will grant you wish. However these young men decide to steal from the Temple a few things that others have left in hopes of a granted wish. Over the next few days paranormal things began to happen to both boys and they find themselves in desperate need to return to the Temple what they stole.
Characters:
Devin
Lead. Male. 18‐20. Caucasian (looks 17). Devin is smart kid with a chip on his shoulder. Doesn’t like being told what to do.
Mick
Supporting. Male. 18‐20. Caucasian (looks 17). Mick is a troubled kid with a bad attitude. Where Mick goes trouble follows.
Skylar
Supporting. Female 18‐20. Caucasian (looks 17). Skylar is a young girl with an edgy attitude and friends with Mick.
Sharon
Supporting. Female. 35‐45. Sharon is Devin’s Mother.
