The goal of this educational project is to offer young, innovative, aspiring, talented artists and professionals a chance to get real-world experience in the breathtaking music video production industry.

No experience necessary!

This project is a great opportunity for all participants! Motion graphics designers, Make-Up artists, Fashion designers, Actors and Dancers can build skills and step up their professional career to the next level.

As a result there will be two videos produced. First is a music video for the original Pet Shop Boys song “New York City Boy” featuring a cast of dancers and actors. The second video will include segments from behind the scenes called “How it’s made” featuring crew members; producers, make up artists, fashion designers, hairdressers, and the camera crew.

Every participant and his/her contact information will be featured on www.NewYorkCityBoy.us website and could be used as a reference and resume booster. Every one will also receive a DVD copy with two final videos, NYC Boy advertising poster and some other free stuff from our sponsors.

Silhouette Stages announces upcoming auditions for the classic comedy Noises Off (Columbia, MD)

To be held on the evenings of December 7 and 8 from 7:00 until 9:00 PM. Callbacks may be held on December 10th based on need.

Bob Russell directs this legendary farce, written by award-winning novelist and playwright Michael Frayn. Noises Off! is a highly theatrical and extraordinarily funny look behind the scenes of a British theatre troupe performing a second-rate sex comedy called Nothing On. Doors slam, identities are confused and chaos reigns in this hilarious comedy that follows the motley and disorganized theatre company as they rehearse, perform and, well, just try to make it through Nothing On as the never-ending theatrical mishaps snowball out of control.

Actors ages 18 and older are asked to bring a current headshot and resume to the audition, which will consist of cold readings from the play’s script. All auditions will be held at the Bryant Woods Neighborhood Center. For directions, please use a Google map and enter 10449 Green Mountain Circle, Columbia, MD 21044. Rehearsals will begin in mid-December and performances will be held at the Slayton House Theatre on March 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, and 14 of 2010. Seeking;
LIGAYA (early-mid 20s), beautiful Filipino-American woman– though she is aware of how her traditional family feels about her African-American boyfriend, she hopes they will change their minds once she breaks the news of their engagement.

CAL (early-mid 20s), handsome, well-dressed African-American man, aware of the negative feelings from Ligaya’s family, but decides to propose to her without the blessing of her father and hopes the engagement will finally prove that he is serious about their relationship. Must be physically fit.

BENITA (early 50s), Filipino, fluent to semi-fluent in Tagalog, gained a few pounds to motherhood, welcoming face, respectful but also snobby. She hopes her daughter’s relationship with Cal is a phase or a form of rebellion and will quickly blow over.
