This film is intended for festivals worldwide and will also be issued in conjunction with an award-winning book of poetry to be published in 2010 by the University of Nebraska Press.

Shooting will begin in November in Philadelphia, PA.

The short will be shot on HD Video and be about 15-20 minutes long.

Synopsis: Man of the House is a story about a young teenager who has
to deal with a new system of rules and limitations when his previously
absent father comes back into the picture.

CHARACTERS BREAKDOWN:

JUAN (LEAD)
Must look 14 – 16 years old. Adult actors who look young preferred.
Must be fully bilingual (English/Spanish) . Juan is a very smart yet
undisciplined teen. He is an average student but can do better if he
tried. He’s been living under lax supervision until now and needs to
adjust somehow.

ADAM (LEAD)
Must look 60 – 70 years old. Must be able to speak very
proper Spanish. Adam is Juan’s father. He is a psychologist and a
scholar. Adam comes back to take control of the family after years on
the road. He stresses discipline and academics.

MARIA (SUPPORTING)
Must look 35 – 45. Spanish speaking role. Maria is Juan’s mother. She is a working class single mother until Adam comes back into the picture. She is subservient to Adam and defers to Adam’s style of parenting.

Calling all kids!

We’re a Philadelphia based video production company producing a fun music video being shot in Maple Glen, PA of a wedding comprised of all kids, including the bride and groom. A lot of funny moments happen such as a ring pop in place of a ring, the bride and groom ride away in a little tike’s car, and kids eat the wedding cake with their hands. We’re seeking kids, ages 4-8, to premiere in this project.

There will be a chapel made of cardboard, a real cake, etc. A catering and craft services/activities area where the kids can both relax and have fun will be available on site to make friends and learn the basics about a film set. The role of the extras will be to be guests of the bride and groom, watching the ceremony, throwing confetti, and dancing on the dance floor during the reception. Did I mention eating cake?

This will be a wonderful experience to both children and parents! The end product expects to have a million views or more on youtube, lots of hype in social networking sites, and will be submitted to regional film festivals.

Severine Pictures seeks actors and extras for the feature film “LA
MÉDUSE ROUGE”, a surreal thriller filming in Hi Def in the PHILADELPHIA
area in Fall 2009. No knowledge of French is necessary. Actors can be
union or experienced non-union, but must be based in the
Philadelphia/New Jersey area.

We are currently casting speaking roles for men and women ages 25 -
75. We are also seeking extras ages 18 – 75.

Most roles will require 1 to 8 shooting days this Fall. Some roles are
paid a small stipend, others are volunteer. For union actors, we can
follow the SAG Ultra Low Budget Agreement.
