Auditions consist of cold readings from the script. Those auditioning for Max, Tito, and the Bellhop please have a portion of an operatic-type song prepared that you can sing a capella. These characters do not require trained singing voices, but the actors should be able to carry a tune and sing loudly. Show dates are February 12- March 14th Friday and Saturday at 8 PM and Sunday at 2 PM. Synopsis: This night in September of 1934 is the biggest in the history of the Cleveland Grand Opera Company. World famous tenor Tito Morelli is to perform Othello, his greatest role, at the gala season opener. Saunders, the General Manager, hopes this will put Cleveland on the operatic map. Morelli is late; when he finally sweeps in it is too late to rehearse with the company. Through a hilarious series of mishaps, Il Stupendo is given a double dose of tranquilizers which mix with the booze he has consumed and he passes out. His pulse is so low that Saunders and his assistant Max believe he is dead. What to do? Max is an aspiring singer and Saunders persuades him to get into Morelli’s Othello costume and try to fool the audience into thinking he’s Il Stupendo. Max succeeds admirably, but Morelli comes to and gets into his other costume. Now two Othello’s are running around in costume and two women are running around in lingerie, each thinking she is with Il Stupendo!

• Max*-Assistant to Saunders. Late twenties-mid thirties. Max is earnest and hard-working, and is in love with Maggie.
• Maggie- Max’s girlfriend & Saunders’ daughter. Mid twenties-early thirties. Maggie is smart & practical, but yearns for something “wonderful and romantic” before she settles down with Max.
• Saunders-General Manager of the Cleveland Grand Opera Company. Late forties-mid sixties. Saunders is brusque and authoritarian with a short fuse.
• Tito Merelli*-A world-famous tenor, also known to his fans as “Il Stupendo.” Early forties-mid sixties. Tito is larger than life; full of grand gestures and grand appetites. He has an Italian accent.
• Maria-Tito’s wife. Mid thirties-late forties. Maria is proud, excitable, and emotional. She speaks with an Italian accent.
• Bellhop*-A bellhop. Early twenties-mid thirties. The bellhop is shrewd, opportunistic, and determined to audition for Tito.
• Diana-The Cleveland Grand Opera’s lead soprano. Early thirties-late forties. Diana is sexy and forceful; she knows what she wants and how to get it.
• Julia-Chairperson of the Opera Guild. Mid forties-early seventies. Julia is vivacious and charming and passionate about opera

We are producing a short film entitled Stacy to be submitted for review at the Newport Film Festival as well as several other festivals. Stacy, the seemingly perfect student with the perfect family, perfect friends, and nice clothes, is living a lie. A poor kid from the wrong side of town, she secretly sells her body in order to attend the prestigious school, buy the designer clothes, and keep up the illusion of being the Stacy all her friends know, but her carefully woven life begins to crumble starting with her best friend, Trisha, starting to doubt her friendship and ending with a teacher discovering her secret in the worst way possible.

We are looking for actors to fill several parts. I have listed the main three but there are many other smaller speaking roles. you don’t need to be experienced, but you do need to be talented!

Mr. Kors ( 24-40)- average weight and stature, not looking for extreme characters in this role.

Stacy (16-19)- Main Character of film. she is the prom queen type, most popular girl in a very prestigious school, very nice, appears to have it all when in school, but in actuality she is hooking to keep up appearances and to keep her and her drunk father off the street. must be able switch between very innocent and clean cut in one scene to depressed and disillusioned in the next. should not be afraid to show a little skin, but there is no nudity.

Trisha (16-19)- Stacy’s best friend at school. she knows nothing of Stacy’s actual home life. also a “popular clique” type. must be able to convey anger, hurt, and suspicion very well.

A monologue is not needed, but it would be very helpful. please bring a headshot picture and resume to the audition. you will receive copy and credit, but being a student venture we cant really pay you with more than pizza. we are hoping to be able to submit this to film festivals across the country so some recognition may be in it for you as well. filming has yet to be determined although we guess it will be about 3 days of filming and 1 addition day for ADR. our completion deadline is Dec 10.

The story takes place over three days in July, 1934 in a small Midwestern town. “Faye is Ace’s girl.” Or was, until she left suddenly for the big city. Now, a year later, she has returned to find Ace waiting and the same provincial attitudes that drove her away in the first place. She rebuffs the advances of her former swain, Ace, and challenges the prevailing attitudes of the town by openly championing Joshua, a backwoods healer with abilities the townsfolk fear. This defiance comes with consequences though as secrets better left alone are uncovered.

ANAHEIM, CA: Seeking 4 SouthEast Asian Female or Male Spokesmodels to represent a Tropical Skincare line at the Natural Foods Expo. Must appear to be from a SouthEast Asian country.

Must have superior skin! No identifiable blemishes,pockmarks, etc.

Talent will essentially be handing out samples, greeting attendees, and making light conversation until sales staff becomes available;

Dates: March 6,7,8. (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
Pay: $240 per day.

Synopsis: In “W.A.C. Iraq: A Work-In-Progress” , mothers, daughters, sisters, and soldiers, their voices filled with loss, confusion, loneliness, anger and sometimes hope, try to make sense of the ever changing world around them during a questionable time of war; a world where for some, home is but a distant memory and for many others the front lines between life and death is nothing more than a blur.

National search is on for Eurasian or AmerAsian MALE & FEMALE MODELS or ACTORS for major Airline.
Commercial will focus on Chinese Americans returning to visit their roots in China. Because of the need
for AUTHENTIC mixed CHINESE & CAUCASIAN appearance and need for the TRUE ASPECT of the story to be genuine,
i.e. a Chinese American of mixed race, the model/actors must ACTUALLY BE part-Chinese.

AGE RANGE: 12 to 25
