JACK, a lonely zombie in a desolate land, solemnly wanders in search of love and happiness. After failed attempts at satisfaction through the mauling and consumption of surviving humans, JACK finds WHITNEY. True love seems within reach, when suddenly a GROUP OF HUMANS ruins the moment. JACK inflicts a wound on SARAH, one of the survivors, and the group escapes. JACK pursues the group and after eating them, finds SARAH; a newly-transformed zombie. JACK has finally found love, as the couple walks off into the horizon sharing a severed hand.

JACK: A lonely zombie, who desires some form of companionship. Somewhat self-loathing; falls for WHITNEY but then loses her to gunfire and is attacked by a SURVIVOR. SARAH ambushes him, but JACK inflicts a deep wound before she gets away. Confronts the GROUP OF HUMANS again and eats them. The wound causes SARAH to become a zombie and he falls in love with her.

MAN (Speaking): Injured human who attempts to run away from JACK but has his arm ripped off in the process

WHITNEY: Female zombie who shares a ‘touching’ moment with JACK before having her head blown off.

SURVIVOR: Hits JACK in the head with a baseball bat.

GROUP OF HUMANS: Helps injured man after JACK had ripped off his arm. Later gets decimated by JACK.

SARAH (Speaking): A survivor that attempts to attack JACK, but gets into a struggle that leads to injury. Separates from the group when her injury worsens; becomes a zombie and falls in love with JACK.

The National Broadcasting Society is an Emerson College organization dedicated to the media arts, focusing on film, television and broadcasting. NBSs current project, entitled Thy Kill Be Done, is a short film written, produced and directed by Emerson College students.

The location of the shoot is Boston, MA and will take place from November 20-23, 2009.

Roles available:
Male mid-late 60’s. Monsignor O’Byrron is a strong leader of his church.
Male mid 30’s. A benevolent and respected member of the church.

The producers of MTV’s “Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County” are now looking for America’s next breakout personalities to star in GENERATIONS. This new show will follow the lives of a group of friends who attend the very same high school their parents attended but on the flip side, it will also follow the lives of their parents who have not only remained friends with their high school chums but whose teenage children have also become friends.

The younger/new generation of high schoolers are forming their own social networks and befriending each other, relying on one other and even dating each other all over again in the very towns/cities that their parents grew up in…and painted red in their day. This next generation is essentially picking up where their parents left off, and dealing with the same issues. These families have been known for generations in their hometowns.

GENERATIONS allows viewers to experience teenage angst, and memorable life changing high school experiences that remain timeless, in a new and exciting way. The backdrop remains the same as the new generation walks in the footprints of their moms and dads, at the same schools their parents attended. The world has transformed greatly for the second generation of high school friends. Cell phones, the internet, twitter and Facebook have become part of everyday life but we’ll learn that some things about being a teenager never change…

To summarize we are looking for a close-knit group of friends (5 to 7) who all attend the same high school that their parents attended. Additionally we need some of the parents (4 to 6) to still be friends today. John Patterson (late 20’s-early 30’s) dramatic lead, rough, work driven and is torn between his personal and professional life. Is the lead engineer on a brand new, extremely vital mission to space on the ship “Moriah”. Loves his wife and new baby unconditionally but is has trouble deciding whether or not he wants to be a great father or a great engineer.

Cynthea Patterson (mid to late 20’s) Wife of John Patterson, pregnant with their first child. Sweet, Sincere, but strong. Beautiful and “natural” look. She loves her husband enough to let him go chase his dream but will not hold back on telling him how she feels.

Commander Alexander Howven (Mide to Late 50’s) John’s boss. Strict, hard driving, has no sympathy for John’s position that he is in with his family and insists that he leaves his pregnant wife as she is giving birth to set aboard “Moriah”.

Natalia Portugikov (mid 20’s) Russian beauty, smart, sensitive. The Medical Specialist on the space mission “Moriah”. She is a mother and a professional and misses her child and husband enough to try to take her own life. Feels trapped in her life and desperately wants to return home to her family. Finds a friendship with John and connects with him over their families.

Auditions to be held the Sunday & Monday evenings of August 23-24 from 6:30-9pm at McAllaster Hall on the campus of Central High School in Manchester, NH. Callbacks scheduled for Tuesday, August 25th.

Casting Call for independent short film The Pond

The independent short film, “The Pond”, is seeking headshot submissions for
two principal characters.

The Pond is about a woman who loses the love of her life in a car
accident, and through a strange set of circumstances he is resurrected. ..but to her
complete dismay she learns that he cannot stay. The explanation of all
this comes from a very mysterious character, whose job it is to keep certain
things in nature protected, and secret.

The script is written by local screenwriter Dan Hannon, who will be
directing as well. Dan is also one of the founders of the annual NH Film
Festival. The film will shoot in late August, in NH. It will be managed under a
SAG deferred payment contract. Both union and non-union actors may submit.

The producers are looking for headshot & resume submissions for the two
roles below. There is a casting session scheduled for this Thursday in
Nashua NH for these and other roles in the film. At this time, the focus is on
bringing more talent in for only the two roles listed below.

best friend. Suffers a great, almost debilitating loss. As she works
through her grief, she has a profound, emotional, and completely
unexpected experience that changes her life.
Red hair is preferred, but not an absolute requirement. Age Range 25-35.

MAN IN BEIGE
Male. Commanding presence and attitude. Can have an intense,
almost fierce look at times. Belongs to a mysterious, heretofore unknown
group.
Feared at first, but understood and admired by the end. Could be played
with an accent. Age Range 30-60

Circuscatch Films is casting a short film to be shot in Sept/Oct. of this year in the Boston area. Plans are calling for a (4) day shoot.

This film will be shot under a SAG Waiver Low Budget Agreement so both Union and Non-Union actors are encouraged to submit.

Copy, credit and meals provided. There is possible deferred pay.

Flipbook Productions is currently working on its 2nd short film entitled “Beat-less.” The script was written by Tam Nguyen.
Auditions will be held in Boston on Tuesday, June 30th from 12-4pm, Thursday, July 2nd from 12pm – 4pm, and Friday, July 3rd from 12pm-4pm. The film is set to shoot on the weekend of July 24th.

Synopsis:

“Beat-less” is about a young man named Damien who finds employment in an unusual area – he cleans up crime scenes, however for criminals. Cleaning Strands of hair and finger prints, Damien does his best to assure that no one is found guilty in the end. But when the police catch Damien cleaning up after one murder, Deacon, a detective assigned to the case, interrogates Damien in an attempt to force a confession. Instead, Deacon explores Damien’s past and discovers a story of lost love and dirty laundry that has burdened him since he was a child.

Characters:
Damien: Ability to play young adult (18) and adult (mid 20’s) – Caucasian – Male – Cleaner that has the knack for cleaning up other people’s messes.

Deacon: Mid 40s – Caucasian – Male – Veteran detective that will be damned if a criminal thinks he can pull a fast one on him

Sarah: Ability to play young adult (18) and adult (mid 20’s) – Caucasion – Female – Attractive troublemaker who always finds a way of leaving a mess. CASTED

Auditions will be held in Boston on Wednesday, June 22nd from 5-9pm and Thursday, June 23rd from 1pm – 5pm. The film is set to shoot on the weekend of July 24th.
