This video clip will be shot in short film format will tell the story of Lila as she struggles to find herself in the world. The idea is to have identical twins interpreting Lila present and Lila past. Time becomes frozen and the past Lila and the present Lila meet each other in various scenes. Jarrod is her “future boyfriend” in the clip. He is good looking and charming and sweeps her off her feet. The video will run on MTV and other music video networks and will be presented at various showcases and festivals worldwide.

About the project:

‘Grant Street Shaving Co.’ is a 15-minute short film about an elderly Indian widower and the journey he takes through New York to replace an antique razor given to him by his now-deceased wife on their first anniversary trip to the city. Along the way he relives his memories of their trip and experiences a revelation about his strained relationship with his daughter. About the director:

Payal Sethi has over eight years’ experience working in the film industry, including five years as the assistant to Mira Nair (Salaam Bombay, Monsoon Wedding, The Namesake). Payal has also worked for the Hamptons Int’l Film Festival, the Tribeca Film Festival, and the IFP. Stacy (16-19)- Main Character of film. she is the prom queen type, most popular girl in a very prestigious school, very nice, appears to have it all when in school, but in actuality she is hooking to keep up appearances and to keep her and her drunk father off the street. must be able switch between very innocent and clean cut in one scene to depressed and disillusioned in the next. should not be afraid to show a little skin, but there is no nudity.

Trisha (16-19)- Stacy’s best friend at school. she knows nothing of Stacy’s actual home life. also a “popular clique” type. must be able to convey anger, hurt, and suspicion very well.

A monologue is not needed, but it would be very helpful. please bring a headshot picture and resume to the audition. you will receive copy and credit, but being a student venture we cant really pay you with more than pizza. we are hoping to be able to submit this to film festivals across the country so some recognition may be in it for you as well. filming has yet to be determined although we guess it will be about 3 days of filming and 1 addition day for ADR. our completion deadline is Dec 10.

WHITNEY: Female zombie who shares a ‘touching’ moment with JACK before having her head blown off.

SURVIVOR: Hits JACK in the head with a baseball bat.

GROUP OF HUMANS: Helps injured man after JACK had ripped off his arm. Later gets decimated by JACK.

SARAH (Speaking): A survivor that attempts to attack JACK, but gets into a struggle that leads to injury. Separates from the group when her injury worsens; becomes a zombie and falls in love with JACK.
