Need volunteer extras for historical march down Market Street – Wilmington, DE

Wilmington Fall Fest
Votes for Women Historical March
Saturday, November 6, 2010
2:00pm
Starting between 8th-9th and Market Street, re-enactors will march down the street crying out “Votes for Women!” They will march until they get to Old Town Hall (between 5th and 6th Street). A few actors will then give speeches for and against woman suffrage. All participants will have to provide their own costumes. They should be appropriate for the 1920s. Women in these marches typically wore white dress and long trench coats, if needed. They would have also had a large hat on and their hair up (but this isn’t necessary). Men wore suits usually and most would wear a hat. We are also looking for one or more people with a historic looking drum to lead off the march.

If you are interested please contact Kathryne L. at 302-295-2388 or please use the submission form below. Please include your name and contact information and if you will be bringing anyone else. All actors should plan to arrive at 1:30pm that day. There will be a brief orientation before the march begins. This is a volunteer part, there is no pay for extras.
