Urgent Casting Call: National anthem singer needed in Everett, WA
A local roller derby league is looking for a last-minute national anthem singer.
Here’s what we are looking for:
A TASTEFUL rendition of the national anthem by a singer with training.
Words MUST be correct – please Google them.
Nerves of steel – there will be over 2000 people in attendance; the energy in the arena is amazing.
When: Saturday, January 8th
Where: Comcast Arena in Everett.
Time: You will need to check in at 4:30. Lights go up at 6:00.
Compensation: We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit so we cannot pay you, but can give you a comp ticket plus one, worth $30. We can likely plug your latest project over the PA.
Because this is last minute, we’ll need a YouTube link or some other digital way of hearing you sing. The head of the production committee is a singer as well, so you don’t need to send yourself doing the anthem, just something with good tone, pitch, and vibrato, even if it’s a song of a genre other than classical. Any sample of you singing helps.
