Student Film
The University of Washington Extension program in Independent Filmmaking is holding auditions on
Sunday, February 18th for a short narrative film entitled “The Middleman.” Auditions will be from 2-5
pm on the University of Washington Seattle campus in Denny Hall, Room 209. Parking on Sunday is
free. Further details including the script are available at http://www.hephaesteus.com. As this is a
student film, talent will not receive financial compensation for their work.
The film will be shot at Victory Studios in Seattle on the evening of Friday, March 2 and all day Saturday,
March 3.
This is an excellent opportunity for actors to gain experience in a studio environment. Please address

Synopsis: An innocent movie-goer unwittingly sits between a couple in the midst of a dispute.
The Middleman: A 30-40-something slightly nerdy introverted movie geek who just wants to enjoy a
film in peace. Dressed in khakis and a tweed jacket.
The Husband: A 30-40-something average Joe dressed in garden-variety Pacific Northwest wear- a
fleece or windbreaker, jeans, hiking boots or tennis shoes.
The Wife: A 30-40 something woman also dressed casually in jeans, fleece, etc.
