Casting short film “Image Mind Light”
Casting call this weekend for a few different roles for the short film “Image Mind Light” By Director Bogdan Darev.
Shooting this April 18th through the 22nd in Pioneer Square of Downtown Seattle. You will be
needed for 1 to 3 days of filming. …
Synopsis:
“Our tale opens in a timeless world. A world built on
IMAGE. A paperboy shouts incredible headlines about animals living on
the moon and, in the same breath, announce the de-classification of
9-11 files. A world with a restless MIND clouded by advertisements
promising wealth and health in marriage and work.
It is in thatworld and in one of its gloomy alleys that a beautiful woman lies dead.
While her daughter, or is she?, patiently waits by her for someone to
step out of the solemn and hurried crowd. Someone to offer a helping
hand. In the same gloomy alley a stray dog seeks food across a group of
musicians. Nearby, a priest runs a mission helping the homeless and
sick. So, it happens that a young man steps out of the crowd to attend
to the woman and girl.
The stray dog, young man, and priest all come across the body at the
same time. They all have three distinct thoughts contemplating the dead
woman. Each thought reflecting a stage in the evolution of humanity.
While the girl has a secret and a question: “What is the LIGHT by which
man is served?”
Here is what we are looking for :
ROLES:
Chinese Woman - 70s, old and frail, can be any Asian ethnicity.
Shoe Shine Man - 40s or 50s, African American ethnicity.
Pill Girl - 20s, white, Marilyn Monroe like
Barista - 20s, 30s, female, Caucasian ethnicity, shy
Tram Teamster - 60s, male, large frame, over weight
Guard - 20s, male, tall & lean, Caucasian or African American ethnicity
Garbage Man - 30s, medium height, heavy set, overweight
City Cleaner - 20s, Latino ethnicity
We are also looking to cast up to 35 extras for important non speaking roles. Good actors are imperative to setting the correct theme and feel.
We cannot offer any financial compensation for the roles, we are a low
budget independent filming with the new RED camera. However, you will
receive recognition in the credits, a complete dvd of the project
including behind the scenes. And invitation for you and a guest to a
private screening before it is released to the public and festivals.
This film is a spiritual and hope inspiring peace that is gaining much
anticipation around the country and world. It will be submitted to
major festivals around the world
