Casting Call for Student Film “Syndicate” (Bellevue/Seattle, WA)
Casting Call Details:
Syndicate is a black comedy mob crime western film produced by Daniel Riesco as a no-budget student film. It combines elements of classic Italian-American mob flicks and Italian Spaghetti Westerns, with a flavor of absurdity thrown in. The plot involves two hitmen working for a mob organization known only as The Syndicate: Frankie Valeto and Harvey Goldman, hired to ‘whack’ a coke dealer, the crazed Walter Red, a psychotic cowboy. The film ends in a classic gun duel between Harvey and Walter.
Headshot and resume required.
Characters Needed
Frankie Valeto: A mobster of Italian descent who remains cool and controlled, with a relaxed air.
Traits needed: Italian-American accent, caucasian, age 30-37
Harvey Goldman: A mobster of Jewish origin who swears like a sailor and has a hot, nervous temper and anxious disposition. He has an itchy trigger finger, and likes telling stories.
Traits needed: Brooklyn accent, caucasian, age 30-39
Walter Red: A psychotic Texan cowboy cocaine dealer with a polite air and a twisted sense of humor. His henchmen are afraid of him, and he delights in shooting of his big iron on those below him.
Traits needed: Texan or southern accent, caucasian, age 35-49
Eddie Baltolli: The mob boss for The Syndicate. He’s prone to anger and enjoys his money as much as he enjoys a good cigar. He gives Frankie and Harvey their next assignment.
Traits needed: Italian-American accent, caucasian, age 40-50
