“The Pocket Watch” Is a short film (aprox. 4 to 5 min in length) Following a
struggling Bosnian artist trying to make ends meet, while continuing his
love and passion for art. Conflict arises when Amer is faced with an
impossible decision to sell his long time valuable family heirloom for over
due rent, or leave his life behind and take with him his family history and
art.

Calling all male actors:

AMER (Lead) – middle aged bosnian artist, who is struggling to find enough
money to pay his rent, and stay afloat in the world. His love of art and
desire to succeed at doing what he loves is the only thing keeping him
going. (looking for someone with a Bosnian accent, or anyone who can mimic a
good bosnian accent.)

GRANDFATHER – Amer’s Grandfather passes down an old and valuable Pocket
watch on his death bed, this pocket watch has been in the family for years.
Not wanting it to be rendered forgotten, Amer’s Grandfather in one of his
last acts of life, passes down the valuable family heirloom to young Amer. We
are looking for someone in their Late 50’s +, or anyone who thinks they fit
the role of a Grandfather. Minimal Lines for this character, but has
sufficient screen time.

PAWN SHOP OWNER – Is a middle aged greasy creep (or at least that is the
persona he gives off). The pawn shop owner comes into the story when Amer is
faced with the impossible task of deciding whether to sell his prized pocket
watch for rent, or go into the unknown while keeping a piece of family
history with him. The pawn shop owner will be a character with a lot of
potential as far as acting is concerned. Lines are minimal, but screen time
is good.
