SYNOPSIS: A comedic caper about a pirate radio operator who hatches a plot to take out the world’s biggest media corporation with the help of a group of misfits, a broken-down RV and the ghost of Richard Nixon.

ZEKE
Male, 30s: Kurt Cobain meets Che Guevara, Zeke’s not a natural leader – he’s a natural ringleader. He’s boiling over with outrage at the injustices of Corporate America, but has yet to get off the fence and truly take a risk himself. Never able to peacefully coexist in
mainstream society, Zeke fancies himself a culture-jamming punk-rock revolutionary, satisfying his drive for social justice only with things he can get away with…so far.
LEROY BROWN
Male, 30s: Real name Dr. Said Hamad, a top aerospace engineer who moonlights by helping Zeke defend America’s airwaves from corporate greed. He’ll have to choose between his promising career and helping Zeke pull off the biggest pirate broadcast in history. Fortunately for the group, Leroy’s a die hard Mets fan and a sucker for lost causes.
SMONKEY
Female, 20s/30s: Real name Sara Monk, she’s a Seattle girl, an activist and a documentary filmmaker determined to change the world. While she’s not sure Monkeyfish qualifies as activism, it’s the best thing going at the moment, and it’s apparent they can’t get along without her. She’s the altruist of the group, frequently put in the thankless position of keeping them honest.
RENZO
Male, 30s/40s: Owner of a car repair shop and former Marine, Renzo has set his conservative leanings aside to be part of what he believes is a genuinely patriotic cause, and it’s by his efforts alone that the RV stays on the road. He prefers swift and drastic action to stratagems and pointless discussion.
JOEL
Male, 20s: DJ, video artist and amateur pornographer, Joel does most of the music and video programming for Monkeyfish. While he’s not overly concerned about corporate impingement on freedom of the press, pirate radio is fun as hell and helps him maintain his image as a rebel.
