Free Casting Calls and Auditions

Protofilm LLC will begin auditioning for the micro-budget Indie
feature, “Book of Bob” June 7th and 8th for the following characters:

GEOFFREY FRANKLIN
Ethnicity: Caucasian - Mediterranean -
Body Type: Medium - Thin - Lean Muscle -
Mid 30s – Early 40s
Geoff is a uniquely handsome public radio producer at KXNL in Seattle.
He can quote and disseminate countless authors, philosophies, and
theories. Friends and loved ones believe he is a genius waiting to
blossom, but he is not, and that troubles him. Geoff is affable, very
persuasive, and admired, even by those who don’t appreciate his
no-holds-barred verbal and mental gymnastics. Jocular, outgoing,
freethinking, and quirky, with a primal sexual appeal, and a tendency
towards the histrionic, Geoff revels and reviles being the center of
his universe.

REVEREND PERRY HANSON
Ethnicity: - Asian - Caribbean - Hispanic - Mediterranean
Body Type: Medium - Athletic - Lean Muscle
Mid 30s – Early 40s
Regal, brilliant and handsome, Perry exists as an enigmatic riddle in
response to societal perceptions of sexuality, masculinity, and
spirituality. Like his childhood friend, Sara (Geoff wife), he derives
power from his supposed contradictions. Having introduced Sara and
Geoff the three existed as a triad until Perry gave in to Marc’s
advances three years ago. After a rocky start at first what was a trio
has become a quartet.

MARCUS DONNELLY
Ethnicity: African American - Caucasian - Hispanic - Mediterranean -
Body Type: Athletic - Body Builder - Lean Muscle -
Mid 30s – Early 40s
Marc is a carpenter by trade, Strong, handsome, and unassuming.
Following a failed marriage producing three children, Marc
acknowledged being gay and set out to reinvent himself. Content in his
new life he still harbors residual homophobic tendencies. Geoff makes
constant sport of Marc’s intellect, good looks, and macho image. Marc
thinks Geoff teases him just because he can, not realizing that it is
really Geoff way of adopting him into the family and encouraging his
continued self-acceptance. After three years Marc is still adjusting
to his new roll as one of the satellites revolving around Geoff.

Saturday, June 7th: 1PM to 5:30PM

Sunday, June 8th: 1PM to 4:30PM
Downtown Kent
Kent, WA

Each actor will perform a least 1 of the scenes provided in the sides
when scheduled time-slot is confirmed. You will be given the chance
to perform a monologue of your choice if you desire but it is not
required. Please allow your self a full hour on-site.

Principle photography scheduled evenings and weekends August 8th
through 24th.
Rehearsals will be required some evenings and weekends during the
3-weeks prior to august 8th.
Meals, transportation stipend, are provided. Compensation includes
copy, credits and Deferred salary contract with profit sharing
percentages.
