Looking for teenage actors in the Sacramento area and outlying regions to play two feature roles in a Short Film.

This film is low budget, we won’t be able to provide pay, but will provide food and screen credit.
Story Line: Inspired by true events, Jay tells the story of one unique individual who, despite the pressures of a religiously minded family, chooses to follow his heart and falls in love with Daniel, a teenager with an astonishingly similar personality. Though four hundred miles away from each other, they begin a relationship through e-mail, and try to unite despite interferences from their families and the world. In an attempt to unite with his lover, Jay leaves his home and attempts to drive to Northern California. The drive ends in a tragic crash with drunk teenagers and Jay’s death. Though crushed, Daniel becomes happy to learn that Jay’s love will help him to conquer the obstacles in his life and reach all the goals he had set for himself. Most of the situations in the film are real, the characters are all based off of real people and most of the storyline is true.
Jay – Starring / MALE / 16 TO 20 / Caucasian, Italian
Jay is a outgoing teenager who loves his life and lives it to the maximum each day. He exudes a California Surfer persona and loves to act and sing. He has a signature laugh, a short “Ha!” He has a close relationship to Sarah, his childhood friend until she moved away. Throughout the film, he falls in love with Daniel, but though his sexual orientation is Gay, he does not exude “stereotypical” gay behavior. There will not be any sexual content for this character His character is inspired by a real person who recently passed away, his photo is included below, it would be best if the actor looked similar to the real person, but concessions can be made.
Daniel – Supporting / MALE / 16 TO 20
Daniel is a dreamer who marvels at the beauty of the world. He hopes to study film and theatre when in College and loves to travel. He is close friends with Sarah, and throghout the film, falls in love with Jay. Though his sexual orientation is gay he does not exude any “stereotypical” gay mannerisms and will not be involved in any sexual situations in the film.
