Auditions for Translations, by irish Playwright Brian Friel (Portland, OR)

Lá na Gaeilge Theatre at Marylhurst University is casting Brian Friel’s 3-Act play about the radical impact language and story have on the identity and hearts of rural Ireland in 1833 during the British mapping and translation of Irish place names into English. Small ensemble cast. Eileen Mejia, dir. Rehearsals begin April 1-May 22; one day run May 22.

Seeking—Actors: 5 males (Irish) & 2 females (Irish) ages 18 to 70; 2 males (British) ages early 30’s and mid 50’s;
