Casting Call Details:
Prime Stage Theatre is casting The Importance of Being Earnest – All actors are paid.

Director, Rich Keitel, is seeking female and male actors from late teens to 60’s.

Actors should prepare a 1-2 minute British Comedic Monologue.

The Importance of Being Earnest runs March 7 to March 16, 2014 at The Hazlett Theater.
Student matinees are on Tuesday thru Thursday – March 11, 12, 13 at 10:00 am.
Rehearsals begin early February.

Audition Date: Sat Jan 25 and Sun Jan 26 from 1-6 at The Oakland School – 362 McKee Place – Pittsburgh, PA 15213.

Roles being cast:

John Worthing – Mid 20’s. The play’s protagonist.
Algernon Moncrieff – Mid 20’s. The play’s secondary hero.
Gwendolen Fairfax – Mid 20’s. Algernon’s cousin and Lady Bracknell’s daughter.
Cecily Cardew – Late Teens, Early 20’s.
Lady Bracknell – 40-65. Algernon’s snobbish, mercenary, and domineering aunt.
Miss Prism – 40-65. Cecily’s governess.
Rev. Canon Chasuble – 40-65. The rector on Jack’s estate.
Lane – 20-88. Algernon’s manservant.
Merriman – 20-88. The butler at the Manor House, Jack’s estate in the country.
