Casting Call for ASU Senior Thesis Film “Dog Days” – Phoenix, AZ

Casting Call Details:
Logline: A boy from the wrong side of the tracks tries to requite his first love by confronting his deepest fear, his sexuality.


Matty: Male, 19. Timid, witty, and charming. Unconventionally stylish, Socially awkward, and intelligent. Unaware of his inner emotional strength he seeks self-fulfillment through the acceptance of others.

Jax: Male, 20. Outgoing, athletic, charismatic, and funny. Popular, well to do, and as wholesome as apple pie. Emotional insecure and fragile he longs for escape, adventure, chaos, and true independence, but he won’t tell you that.

Casting will take place in the Nelson Fine Arts Center (FAC) room 233 at the ASU Tempe Campus. Actors will receive no monetary compensation. However, food will be provided on set and a copy of the finished film will be provided. Actors should be have 1-2 monologues prepared and must also be prepared for a cold read from the script.
