Open Call for Philadelphia’s Most Talented Street Performers
CALLING ALL singers, musicians, aerial acrobats, face painters, balloon artists, jugglers, theatrical troupes, drummers, flutists, cellists, magicians, artists, spoken word artists, and acrobats.
The South Street Headhouse District is beginning an open call for Philadelphia’s FIRST EVER Street Performer Series. The chosen few will perform on rotation Friday through Sunday from May 22 through September 6 in 10 different locations from Headhouse Square to 10th and South.
Download the application at www.southstreet.com or pick one up from the South Street Headhouse District office located at 200 Pine Street. Applications and submission of materials for review must be received NO LATER THAN May 8 at 11:59 PM.
All submissions will be reviewed ONLINE by a panel of Philadelphia industry insiders.
The South Street Performer Series is the perfect venue for Philadelphia raw talent to gain exposure and notoriety throughout the city.
NOTE: All applicants are required to follow the guidelines of the South Street Headhouse Street Performer Ordinance and hold 2009 Street Performance credentials, which will be provided for by the District.
