Orlando, FL Casting Calls: Seeking Female Talent for Local Play
This audition is for 5 female roles.
Five women are working together to put on a performance/art show at Stardust Video and Coffee the first Saturday in August which is the 6th. These five Orlando writers and artists are writing monologues and creating art pieces that depict the strength and courage it takes to overcome and move through sexual and domestic abuse. The night/event is called “Breaking Plates.” All monies will be donated to Harbor House. The actors will not be paid. There is only one performance on August 6th, 2011. There will only be a few rehearsals; dates and times to be coordinated between actress and director.
We are holding auditions for these five monologues on Thursday, July 14th from 12:00 PM- 3:00 PM at CityArts Factory downtown. CityArts Factory is located at 29 South Orange Avenue, Orlando, FL 32801
Park on the streets (metered parking), or CityArts Factory validates parking for visitors at a flat rate of $4 per day. All you need to do is park at the Plaza Parking Garage and bring your parking voucher to the welcome desk when you arrive.
The audition will consist of a cold reading of one or two of the monologues. The Director is Angela McDonald.
Please contact for an appointment between the hours of 12pm and 3pm. If you have a head shot and resume, please bring it; if you don’t, it’s no big deal. 18+ only, please.
