Casting call for “The Money Trail”, a microbudget, direct-to-video feature film
Our current project is “THE MONEY TRAIL”, a micro-budget feature film that will be shot in Palm Bay, Florida on Mini-DV. It will be shot on weekends, with a proposed start date of October 3rd, continuing into November. The shooting schedule is approximately 7-weekends, and as with our past projects, the movie is intended primarily for film festivals, and limited distribution through Amazon.
CASTING
This project is a “resume builder”. There is no pay, but we will pay you $25.00 PER DAY to cover your gas, and lunch will be provided. You will also receive screen credit, a DVD copy of the finished film, (which you may duplicate for family and friends), and we will add your name to the IMDB. Also, when the film is finished, we will have a nice private screening for cast members and their guests.
AUDITIONS
There are 18 MALE roles available. (Over age 21 please). Most of the film will be shot outdoors in a “woods” setting. Some roles only require from one, to three days of filming, while other roles require as many as eight days of shooting. (4-weekends). If you are selected to audition, you will be contacted, and provided with script pages to memorize. We do not hold “open auditions”. We hold auditions “by invitation only”, which will be limited to only about 50 applicants, who will be selected based upon their “look”. Auditions will be held in Palm Bay Florida, which is an hour EAST of Orlando. (Near Melbourne).
SHOOTING SCHEDULE
We will not begin shooting until all roles have been filled. However, if all goes well, our proposed start date is Saturday, OCTOBER 3rd, shooting EVERY weekend through mid-November in PALM BAY, FLORIDA. It is a 14-day shoot. Work days will be roughly 9:00am to 5pm. Please do NOT apply if you have a weekend job or other commitments. And please…serious applicants only. You owe it to your fellow actors to finish what you start. If you drop-out halfway through the shoot, we have to re-shoot the whole movie!
