Casting short student film “Stacy” (Nov.13, Orange County)
We are producing a short film entitled Stacy to be submitted for review at the Newport Film Festival as well as several other festivals. Stacy, the seemingly perfect student with the perfect family, perfect friends, and nice clothes, is living a lie. A poor kid from the wrong side of town, she secretly sells her body in order to attend the prestigious school, buy the designer clothes, and keep up the illusion of being the Stacy all her friends know, but her carefully woven life begins to crumble starting with her best friend, Trisha, starting to doubt her friendship and ending with a teacher discovering her secret in the worst way possible.
We are looking for actors to fill several parts. I have listed the main three but there are many other smaller speaking roles. you don’t need to be experienced, but you do need to be talented!

Mr. Kors ( 24-40)- average weight and stature, not looking for extreme characters in this role.
Stacy (16-19)- Main Character of film. she is the prom queen type, most popular girl in a very prestigious school, very nice, appears to have it all when in school, but in actuality she is hooking to keep up appearances and to keep her and her drunk father off the street. must be able switch between very innocent and clean cut in one scene to depressed and disillusioned in the next. should not be afraid to show a little skin, but there is no nudity.
Trisha (16-19)- Stacy’s best friend at school. she knows nothing of Stacy’s actual home life. also a “popular clique” type. must be able to convey anger, hurt, and suspicion very well.
A monologue is not needed, but it would be very helpful. please bring a headshot picture and resume to the audition. you will receive copy and credit, but being a student venture we cant really pay you with more than pizza. we are hoping to be able to submit this to film festivals across the country so some recognition may be in it for you as well. filming has yet to be determined although we guess it will be about 3 days of filming and 1 addition day for ADR. our completion deadline is Dec 10.
