Theater auditions for “The Diary of Anne Frankenstein”

Accepting headshots and resumes for the upcoming production of a new Off-Off Broadway play, The Diary of Anne Frankenstein. The play is a campy, downtown farce set in post-war Bavaria.

Characters to be cast:
Anne Frankenstein – (Male) A hermaphroditic Frankengirl born of a fascist science experiment gone awry. Youthful, naive, innocent, the classic ingenue. Drag experience a plus. Some singing.

Dr. Gustav Frankenstein – (Male) A mad genetic scientist. Intense, domineering, maniacal. 30-50 years old. Speaks in a comedic German accent.

Fritz – (Male) A lovable, grotesque hunchback. 20-30 years old. Physical comedic experience a plus. Speaks in a comedic German accent.

Sylvia Beasley – (Female) A fiery American movie star in the vein of Tallulah Bankhead. 30-45 years old.

Paul Perrit/Dr. Kitty Kiergarten – (Male) The classic American heartthrob. 20-30 years old. Actor also needs to portray Dr. Kiergarten, a burly, female German scientist.

There is no pay provided at this time, but there is possibility of a small stipend. Rehearsals will be beginning in August, and the production will have an eight-week run commencing at the beginning of October. Theater auditions for “The Diary of Anne Frankenstein”.
