Seeking talent for a nine-minute student film “House of the Rising Sun”
Inga Moren (dir.) is casting for House of the Rising Sun, – a nine-minute student film for SVA’s “The Project Class” shot on HD.
A young woman while looking for a way to end her life finds a place where death is on the everyday agenda, her wish to die becomes an exchange for a new life that is all but ordinary.
Instructor: Bob Giraldi. Shoots early January 2010 in NYC. SAG Waiver Available. Location: 214 East 21st street bet 2nd and 3rd Ave. Room 308A – NY, NY. Casting on Friday 11/6 and Saturday 11/7 from 11am to 6pm.

Chloe: Any ethnicity, late 20’s to early 30’s, unhappy with the state of her life, she finds herself losing hope and seeks to end her life.
Christian: Any ethnicity, late 20’s to early 30’s, mysterious, attractive and confident, gives Chloe the opportunity of a fresh new start.
Isaac: Any ethnicity, late 40’s, arrogant and controlling, he is Chloe’s reminder of the miserable state she is in.
Nurse Jewel: Any ethnicity, female early 30’s, detached, rigid, lives by the book.
Grandma: Hispanic, late 50’s to early 60’s. Strong, self-righteous, the captain, doesn’t let anything slide; better to hide from her that confront her with excuses. Spanish-speaking role.
Brisa: Any ethnicity, 7 to 10 years old, confidant, speaks her mind, her only worry is her game of hopscotch, the leader. Also, plays Chloe as a little girl.
Christian: Any ethnicity, 7 to 10 years old, dreamy and happy is the reflection of Christian at an early age and a follower.
