Seeking singers and dancers for musical “Bobo’s” (NYC)
Singers: * Prepare 16 Bars of your “BEST”(Show your vocal range) R&B, Gospel , Pop/Rock song to be sung entirely in accapella….have another song prepared if asked (2) songs!
Dancers: * Wear comfortable clothing just in case you are asked to stay for the movement/Choergraphy audition that will be taught by: Twan Matthews

The 2009-2010 production of Bobo’s is seeking Triple Threat Performers ( Must Sing, Act & Dance).
Seeking Singers with a raw, urban R&B, Gospel, Pop/Rock, Hip/hop sound & Dancers who specialize in- Krump, Freestyle, Breakdance, Reggae & Hip/Hop!
IMPORTANT NOTE: Seeking a ethnically diverse male/female adults (19-60) who can portray teenagers 15-20 in the 1980’s.
Strong – Explosive talent needed for this ammmmmmaaaaaaazinnngggggggg show!
Bobo’s is a Rock ~ R&B ~ Pop~ Gospel urban opera in the style of: “RENT” & “In The Heights”…….POWERHOUSE SINGERS & DANCERS ONLY APPLY.
This Production won both the: Stephen Sondheim Award & The Richard Rodgers Musical Theater Award……the 3rd soon -to-be 2010 TONY AWARD!

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:
1.) Brick – (Feature/Ensemble) Seeking a Caucasian male 18+, triple with a strong Pop/Rock voice. Should also be a excellent dancer. Example : Jon B. , Sam Harris sounding voice.
*** 2.) Skooley “C”- (Lead Role) Seeking a African-American or Latino18+, male triple threat with a strong R&B sounding voice, should also be able to Rap/Freestyle.
3.) Butch – (Supporting) Seeking a african-american male18+, triple threat with a strong R&B, Pop sounding voice (Baritone/bass) skooleys enforcer.
4.) Grandpa- (Featured/Ensemble) Seeking a Latino or African-american character actor early 50’s-late 70’s. Broadway sounding voice.
5.) Ensemble- Seeking (8) Triple Threats! with strong R&B, Gospel , Pop/Rock voices. Excellent Dancers as well, to play and cover principal roles…..any ethnicity’s for ensemble
This is a NON-EQUITY off-broadway production……NO-PAY/NO-COMPENSATION
