Seeking actors for Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird
Accepting e-mail submissions (jeremyfs@hotmail.com) by non-AEA performers for a Fall production of Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird. All actors must have strong southern dialects.
ALL ROLES WILL BE PLAYED BY ADULTS. We are not looking for child performers.
Seeking:
Jean Louise - Caucasian, female 30s to 40s. Jean Louise is the narrator of the story and the older version of Scout. This actor will probably start rehearsals Oct 6.
Jem - Caucasian, young male, son of Atticus Finch.
Dill - Caucasian, young male, summertime neighbor of the Finches.
We are not looking for adults to pass for children, but actors of short stature with youthful energy to portray these last two characters.
Non AEA - $250-300

If selected, actors will be asked to prepare a brief monologue using a southern dialect. Sides will be available.
