Seeking actors for Anton Chekhov’s masterpiece Three Sisters
Rebellious Subjects Theatre Company (www.rebellioussubjects.org) is producing Anton Chekhov’s masterpiece, Three Sisters at the Lefferts Historic home in Prospect Park in Brooklyn in mid-December. The company was created with the goal of bringing classic theatre pieces to life in non-traditional locations and new interpretations as a means to make them accessible to people who wouldn’t normally attend theatre.
So Three Sisters will be set in the 1950s in a historic home (museum) with a mobile audience who’ll follow the performers thru the house as the play progresses. There are also several videos played, some authentic stock footage from the 50s, some specifically produced for this production.
The company has been in rehearsals for three weeks and now need to incorporate Anfisa before our tech rehearsals on December 6th. You would need to be available for all of the show dates in December:
-Thursday, December 11th, 2pm-5pm
-Friday, December 12th, 2pm-5pm
-Saturday, December 13th, 2pm-5pm
-Thursday, December 18th, 2pm-5pm
-Friday, December 19th, 2pm-5pm
-Sunday, December 21st, 2pm-5pm

Seeking: ANFISA (60s-80s) female, any race. Minor role, comedic. The Prozorov family’s sassy maid of thirty years. In our production you will also be a liaison to the audience, serving them and leading them thru the house as if they were part of the family. Small role in the play, bigger crucial role in the production.
