Free Casting Calls and Auditions

MunkyTown Productions is casting for “Peeper: A Sort of Love Story”, an HDV short comedy about a nervous agoraphobic who falls helplessly in love with the girl across the street. Shoots summer, 5-7 days, in NYC.

Seeking (Non-SAG):

SARAH WEAVER (Lead): preferably African American or mixed with Hispanic/Asian/Middle Eastern, beautiful, fit, girl across the street, quiet, reserved yet confident enough to work out in front of her windows with the shades up every day.

LIPSHITZ (Supporting Role): male, Caucasian, 60+, tanned skin and silver chest hairs a plus, a miserable war veteran with a bad case of whooping cough. Has somehow fought in every battle you’ve ever heard of and has no problem telling you all about it.

MANNY: 5-12, preferably African American or Hispanic, street kid who knows no curfew, asks only “what do you need” and “how much do you want it for,” hobbies include biking, kickball, and stealing strawberries from the corner fruit vendor.

SHARON: stressed single mother of three, makes ends meet by operating a phone sex hotline out of her home, aged, raspy voice that can also turn youthful and seductive.

DELIVERY MAN: 18-30, Hispanic, delivers groceries by day to jump-start his career as a rap star.

PARAMEDICS AND POLICE OFFICER: males & females, must provide own uniforms/props, owning a stretcher a plus.

Also seeking an animal actor—ROSCOE: cute, cuddly, lovable little pooch with a knack for furiously humping anything that moves, a Boston Terrier or similar size/breed dog, must be well-trained and able to poop in a kitty litter box, must also be prepared to hump on cue.

Gaffer: has own basic lighting kit

Boom Operator: has own boom pole

Also seeking a location:

APARTMENT: a 1 or 2 bedroom apartment with relatively large living room and window space to be used as main character’s apartment, location can be anywhere in Manhattan, Brooklyn or Queens, but living room window must face street, will be used for a total of seven days at the most during the summer.
