Seeking 2 Comedic Male Actors with a British Accent for “Optimist”
Casting for “Optimist”, an internal video about two explorers that will be featured on the Web.
We are looking for 2 Comedic Male Actors 40-60yrs of age, who are British or can speak with a British Accent. One actor will have dialogue the other will be physical, kind of like Penn & Teller. We welcome performers who have experience with magic or the circus as one role requires the actor to be funny while quite & physical.
Story will be told by our two main characters: Sir Edmund, an old British explorer, an Oxford professor who’s never short on words. And –simultaneously- by Milton his apprentice, the total opposite of Sir Edmund. Milton never speaks (only whispers into Sir Edmund’s ear) and translates the complicated speeches of Sir Edmund via mimic and prop elements.
We will be shooting against a Green Screen in with various props, in Brooklyn, NY.
Shoot date is tentatively scheduled for Sept 29th or 30th, 2009.
Rehearsal on Monday, September 28, 2009
$275 per Actor for one day of shoot
Pay is non-negotiable, food will be provided.

Sir Edmund:

We need an actor of about 55-60 years old, with a comedy background, that has or can imitate perfectly a British accent.
Milton:
Milton is Sir Edmund’s sidekick and apprentice. The total opposite of Sir Edmund, Milton almost never speaks and translates the complicated speeches of Sir Edmund via mimic and prop elements.
Specs:
We need an actor of about 40-50 years old, with a comedy background, with a very expressive face and strong silent and physical acting capabilities.
