Open auditions for the Sound of Music
M.O.C. Musical Theatre, the country’s oldest continuously- operating community theatre, now in its 83rd season, is holding auditions for its upcoming production of Sound of Music. This musical theatre classic has been a favorite with audiences since its first appearance on Broadway in 1959. It features music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II and book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse. The show is inspired by The Story of the Trapp Family Singers, written by Maria von Trapp.
ALL ROLES are OPEN: The cast consists of three principal women and two principal men, five girls ages 5 to 16, two boys 11 and 14, featured men and women and an ensemble. M.O.C. is a membership company that earnestly supports non-traditional casting.

Show dates are January 9, 10, 11, 16, 17 and 18 at the Westminster Arts Center at Bloomfield College.
