U.S. National Tour Equity Production Contract, $1,509/week minimum
1st rehearsal: July 28, 2008 (in Chicago)
1st performance: September 28, 2008 at the Cadillac Palace Theatre

Based on the film by the same name, DIRTY DANCING will make its U.S. premiere in Chicago in September 2008

Seeking Male and Female Dancers:
Any ethnicity 18 – 30s . Must look like real people rather than dancers and actors. Must be truly fit and have extensive training in ballet, Latin, ballroom and jazz. PARTNERING EXPERIENCE A MUST. Everyone should be able to sing. Men must be able to double as businessmen, waiters, and steamy staff kids. They are not chorus boys. Women must be able to double as wives, waitresses, and steamy downstairs staff kids.

(Dancers will also be considered for the starring role of Johnny Castle and to understudy the role of Baby—no singing required)

MEN: Wear Jazz shoes; clothes should not be exceedingly baggy.
WOMEN: Wear Dance shoes with a heel and a skirt (something sexy you can move in)

Equity audition procedures are NOT in effect. No Equity monitor provided. Producer runs all aspects of the audition
