Non-Equity National Tour

Music Theatre Associates, LLC will hold auditions for children for the 2008-2009 national tour of Oliver! Rehearsals begin August 18, opens September 16 and is booked through May 2009.
Seeking: Oliver – Boy small in stature, 10-13 years old, soprano with unchanged voice. Workhouse boy, sweet-natured but feisty when provoked. Must move well. Fagin’s Gang – Seeking four boys, two of whom may be girls. Age 8-14, to play orphans, workhouse boys, and boys in Fagin’s gang. Must be strong singers who dance or move very well. Maximum height 5’0”. Boys must have unchanged voices (no falsetto). All ethnicities encouraged to attend. (Adult women 5’0” and under may be seen if time permits.)
All positions paid. Must have parent or guardian willing to chaperone. Families encouraged.

Auditions will be held on Saturday, June 14 at 10:00 a.m. (signup at 9:30 a.m. Please do not arrive before then.) at Chelsea Studios, 151 W. 26th Street, 5th Floor, New York, NY. Google Maps.

Please prepare a short song to sing and bring a picture/resume or snapshot. You may sing from the show if you wish. Accompanist will be provided (no tapes please). Must have sheet music. No pop/rock. Bring clothes in which you are comfortable moving, flat jazz shoes or sneakers, and be prepared to dance if called back. Callbacks will be held the same day.
