NYC based TV production company is looking to cast grandmothers for an up and coming TV series
Is your grandma spry? Outgoing? Enthusiastic? Alive? Fearless? Energetic? Unruly? Shameless? Opinionated? Unhinged? Politically incorrect? Not afraid to speak her mind? Off her rocker? Can she cook?
Our NYC based TV production company is looking to cast grandmothers young and old who are passionate about food, family, and the world today for an up and coming TV series.
If this is your grandmother, we want to hear about her views while she shows off one of her favorite recipes.
HINT: we’re not looking for gourmet recipes; we’re looking for personality!
The casting video should have two main components:
1. The Finished Dish
We want to see one of grandma’s favorite recipes that she has already prepared.
Starting with the finished product, we’d like to HEAR how grandma prepared it. (Feel free to showcase all of her ingredients as props, but WE DO NOT WANT TO SEE THE ACTUAL PREPARATION OF THE MEAL.
2. Who is Grandma?
- Get grandma to talk!! Have her share stories and engage her in conversation.
Some sample conversation points may include:
- grandma’s roots/cooking style
- foods she loves
- grandma’s pet peeves
- politics
- world views
- grandma’s prime
- or anything else that America might find interesting!
We want to learn about who your grandmother is.
Submission Guidelines:
-Video should be anywhere from 3-5 minutes of grandma’s best material
-You can shoot your casting tape via any form of digital media- video camera, web cam, iphone, or send us a preexisting youtube link
