Free Casting Calls and Auditions

A renowned London based advertising agency is executive-producing a film project sponsored by SONY Play Station. This project will comprise of a handful of young European directors, each of whom will contribute by writing and directing a 5-7 minute original short movie, which will be screened at various film festivals throughout Europe and also on the Internet site.

Although the movie is sponsored by Sony Play-Station, it’s based on an original concept and it has no reference to the Sony Play-station.

Our project will be directed by a Spanish film director, Xavi Jose, and will feature two main characters, male and female, in an off-beat romantic story.

We are looking for talented actors and actresses for the lead and secondary roles and we will be shooting over two days in Dumbo and Coney Island area in mid July. Actors and actresses must be available to shoot from July 15 to July 21.

This short will be heavily promoted and will get very good exposure.

It’s a non-union and nominal pay project.

LEAD ROLES
Male: 23-35 year-old, (can be mixed in ethnicity). He’s intelligent and good-looking, off-beat, edgy and cool. His profession is a professional pick-pocket. We think along the lines of Edward Furlong, Vincent Gallo, Edward Norton and Harmony Korine.

Female: 23-35 year old. She is like a femme fatale kind of a Lolita. She has the features of somebody beautiful, yet she has to be destroyed inside. She’s smart and decisive. She knows exactly what she wants. We think along the lines of Chloe Sevigny, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Vanessa Paradis and Fiona Apple.

SECONDARY ROLES
Rasta Guy: 20-40 year-old, Afro-American or Caribbean, sporty, fun, interesting looking guy- with dreads.

Basketball Kids: 12-18 year-old, Afro-American or Latin-American, male, fit, urban looking-good skills on the court.

Homeless person: 25-40 year old, male.

2 Police officers: 30-45 year old, male, sporty, mixed ethnicity.

Old woman: 60-70 year old, Caucasian, typical east coast/long island mother.
