Seeking Non-SAG performers for Principal and Supporting roles in The RAs, a new web series premiering in September 2011. The RAs is a dramedy focusing on a group of RAs at an arts college in 1999. It will air on a number of web-based video platforms worldwide. Rehearsals will be held evenings and weekends in NYC and Brooklyn beginning April 6. Shooting evenings and weekends in May and June in NYC and Brooklyn. All ethnicities encouraged to submit for all roles unless otherwise stated.
SEEKING THE FOLLOWING PRINCIPAL ROLES:
Billy: 22, charming womanizer
Josh: 20, cynical writer
Kate: 19, dark and mysterious, must be able to sing well
Luke: 20, class clown
Ramona: 20, “Ms. School Spirit†on the verge of a meltdown
Veronica: 21, strong-willed, intelligent Latina
SEEKING THE FOLLOWING SUPPORTING ROLES:
Charlie: 30, the boss of the RAs, conservative-looking
Tim and Rob: 18, highly emotional freshmen
Josh’s Dad: 50, blue collar, rough around the edges
Jill: 18, freshman with dry wit
Amanda, Daisy and Summer: 18, dancers
Mr. Prentiss: 50, faculty advisor, African American
Harold: 65+, professor
School Nurse: 45, female, warm
School Doctor: 60+, male, imposing
Note: All actors cast in The RAs must be at least 18 years old.
