New Style Independent Pictures is casting for 2 short films that we start shooting at the end of February, 2008. The films will travel the film Festival circle main markets ( LA, NYC, Chicago and Miami ). The budget is low so we cannot pay you. However, we will cover meals and you will get an IMDB credit as well as a DVD copy. We will shoot over the weekend (Saturday and Sunday) we need several leads and supporting characters. Please be specific when you send your info and tell us what character you are applying for. Please send us resume and head shots (recent please) and we will call you in for an audition. Films will be shooting in the Baltimore area.═
here is the break-down for the characters:
FILM ONE:═
MIGUEL, LEAD, White or Hispanic male in his late 20’s to early 30’s. Actor must be able to do a Hispanic accent (mexican) and be able to do some physical comedy. We are looking for an actor who can be funny and can drive the film.═
SAMANTHA, LEAD, White female, Late 20’s to early 30’s. Will play an uptight lawyer with a dry sense of humor. Pretty, fit. Has to be able to do physical comedy. Will play lead opposite Miguel.═
NANA, SUPPORTING ROLE, Female, Any Race, in her 50’s or 60’s. She will play Miguel’s grandmother. Very fun role to play.═
CLEANING LADY 1 and 2: females, must be able to at least look Mexican. These are small roles with very little talking but a lot of camera time. Characters are in a lot of scenes working in the background.═
MR. BANKS, SUPPORTING ROLE, Black male, mid 30’s to early 40’s. This character is in 2 scenes only but has plenty of dialogue. He is the owner of the law firm where our main character works.═
FILM TWO:═
BETH, LEAD, White female, mid to late 20’s. Very active, pretty. She plays the love interest of our main character.═
WAITRESS, SUPPORTING ROLE, female, any race, character has 2 scenes with dialogue. Looking for somebody who is not fit. More of an everyday looking type of waitress.
