ARLENE DAVIS
Physical requirement: Caucasian, mid-to-late 40’s, redhead. Dramatic dimension: lounge singer and musician from Heaven, Oklahoma; leader of the ‘Heavenly Belles’ Trio. Musical Requirement: Old style, old school country style singer

KAY LEE DAVIS
Physical requirement: Caucasian, late 20’s, attractive. Dramatic dimension: Arlene’s very talented singer/songwriter daughter; member of the ‘Belles’; needs to break away on her own, but held back. She does Oklahoma real proud. Musical Requirement: Plays guitar; contemporary Nashville style singer.

MARY CELESTE MARTIN
Physical requirement: Caucasian, mid-to-late 40’s; Big, bodacious and beautiful, like her hair. Dramatic dimension: Hailing from Texas, the quintessential lounge singer, third member of the ‘Belles’, and Arlene’s best friend. Musical Requirement: Belter with a decidedly country twang

GRACE HELEN BAKER
Physical requirement: Any ethnicity, 40’s; Dramatic dimension: Conscientious and common sense caretaker of the Starlight Lounge; classic Miss Fixit who can belt out a tune. Musical Requirement: Strong alto skills; Fiddle a real plus.

BILLY BAXTER
Physical requirement: Caucasian, late 20’s, good looking, gay Dramatic dimension: Oklahoma expatriate, striving for a career in design and decorating; Kay Lee’s old school friend from Heaven. Musical Requirement: Light tenor with an Oklahoma kick.

SAM AUGUST
Physical requirement: Caucasian, early 30’s, handsome, rugged, Oklahoma rancher. Dramatic dimension: Kay Lee’s longtime boyfriend, quiet, sincere and hard working. Musical Requirement: Light baritone with a contemporary Nashville sound fcc
