DesertSun Studios is accepting submissions for the independant Feature Film “Taking It As It Comes: The Mary Ann Collura Story” to be Directed by Victor Medina-San Andres. Casting Director: Brett Simms.
We are currently accepting submissions for the role of the lead, Mary Ann Collura, other roles will be cast at a later time. Shooting is currently scheduled to begin in September 2008 for a 26 day shoot.
“Taking It As It Comes: The Mary Ann Collura Story” is a biopic about the life of Mary Ann Collura, The First female police officer on the force of the Fair Lawn, NJ Police Dept. The Story explores her life as a cop, the family and friends that she loved, The People she touched, and the life cut short by tragedy.

OFFICER MARY ANN COLLURA: Female, Early 40’s {Can be cast between Late 20’s-early 40’s} First Female Officer on the Fair Lawn, NJ police Department. She is Tough, Witty, Sharp, Funny & Fun Loving. A serious Prankster. She loves to take her motorcycle out for a ride whenever she gets the chance. Easy to get along with when she’s not serious about laying down the law. She is as passionate about people as she is about her job. Her Everyday thoughtful acts make her an ordinary role model that made everyone else’s day extraordinary. This is the lead role and actress cast must be ready to take on very heavy acting/time commitment.
