Casting Female Lead & Female Support – Sci-Fi Web Series (New York, NY)
The Polarity Web Series is a sci-fi series of shorts produced for the Internet by Dakoit Pictures. Each episode is based in the Brooklyn – NYC area where average people experience run ins with the supernatural. The format is similar to Twilight Zone but met with the political sensibilities of an Octavia Butler novel. So far we’ve had a paranoid father who is convinced that an alien induced apocalypse is nearing and a time traveling wizard/television host who may be involved with the JFK assassination. This project is scheduled to be released in the Fall of 2010.
Polarity is now entering pre-production for it’s 3rd episode which will feature an awesome band who is responsible for transporting a man eating alien/seductress to earth, drama ensues from there. This episode is slated to shoot mid-February 2010.
We have two female roles that need to be filled and will be holding auditions this Saturday January 16, 2010 location and time will be arranged with interested parties. Non-SAG, non-union preferred.
Waitress: Female age 20-28 must be cute/pretty. All ethnicities and body types welcome. This is a very small role with a total of about 4-5 lines. This would be a great role for a student looking for some light acting to fill a reel. The main thing we are looking for here is for someone to look good and have a little finesse.
Alien Lady: Female age 20-28. We will need someone with a show stopping unique look for this role. The ideal body type would be slim/model like. Clothing will be fairly revealing and definitely sexy. Women of color (bi-racial/multi ethnic) preferred but all ethnicities welcomed especially if your look is attractive but different. The role involves a transition from a good girl bookish type to a seductive temptress so we need someone who is comfortable with showing their sexuality as well as dancing on camera. The audition will require both aspects to be shown for our review.
