Casting Call for two scenes from plays by Jane Chambers – NY
We are casting for two scenes from plays by Jane Chambers, the pioneer lesbian playwright, for dramatization in a documentary about her work.
Looking to cast the following characters from KUDZU:
Martha
white, early 70s, a “big-boned woman”.
A shy dreamer, but also lover and a caretaker, convinced she’s a homely lesbian.
Lookng to cast the following characters from MY BLUE HEAVEN:
Josie
white, 35-45
a physically solid gearhead, an even-tempered lesbian.
Molly
white 35-45
A high strung writer, neurotically in love, politically courageous as long as its from the depths of the closet.
Dr. John
white 38-48
Exudes a clerical authority that masks his underlying anxieties. Straight.
Audition DATES: November 28, 5 – 7 pm
December 19, 6-9 pm
