The Skinning
Super 16 or 35mm short film shooting Mid-March thru April. A gothic ghost story with extremely high production value: incredible locations, meticulous 19th century set design, high art cinematography, stylized period costumes, special effects and outstanding crew. Plan to submit to Sundance 2009. Transportation and excellent catering will be provided along with a DVD copy of finished film.

ELISE Former governess now married to shipping magnate Maximillian in 19th century Europe. Having an affair with the family’s accountant Roderick. Elise has long hair, classic features and flashing eyes. She is a predatorial Victorian-era villainess who will scheme to eliminate all other heirs to the family fortune.
Male / 31-40 yrs. / White.
RODERICK Family accountant. Classic features, will wear side burns, Victorian-era suit, top hat and spectacles. A studious, handsome, slim to average build, European sophisticate.

DIETER Groundskeeper and Taxidermy specialist for the estate. Dark features. Dodgy appearance and dirty attire. Furtive, sly, alcoholic, gambling addict who will commit murder under the direction of Elise and Roderick.

MAXIMILLIAN Wealthy shipping magnate in 19th century Europe. Sophisticated world traveller and hunter of big game in Africa. Classic European patriarch of royal descent. Primary scene will involve floating in a swimming pool to simulate being lost at sea, so please only apply if willing to endure extensive time in a heated indoor pool or warm weather pond. Also possible portrait sitting for photograph to be made into canvas painting for estate set dressing prop.
