Casting call for short film “Desdemona” (NY)
This is going to be a short. We are shooting a short first in order to pitch this to investors. Those that are chosen for the short, will be considered for the main movie. We have a lot of good connections as this film will be made!
This film takes place in the near future where the recession has become worse. It has affected the U.S. allot worse. In this town called Broken Town, which is ravaged by gang violence, there comes a girl named Desdemona. No one in broken town has seen anything like her. She becomes the object of affection for two rival gang leaders. This film is a mix of the outsiders/runmblefish/Romeo and Juliet.
We are looking for Desdemona, as well as the other rival gang leader. Desdemona must be brunette, and at least 5foot five or taller. We will work with smaller actresses if they look the part. Blue eyes would help but we can work with that. We also need a male to portray a drug addicted, depressed man that is also in love with Desdemona. We could also use three to four other actresses of all types.
