Casting call for SAG independent short film “The Retreat”
The SAG independent short film “The Retreat” is casting it’s last role for shoot date of Nov 27th-Dec 5th.
ACTRESS SHOULD FIT ALL OF THE FOLLOWING:
1) Be of Eastern Asian descent
2) Between the ages of 25-32
3) Have substantial film/theater training, we do not discriminate between schools, but Producers want to see professional training preferably from a respected school, as this film is being submitted to film festivals.
4) Have a fit/slender build
5) Have an American accent preferably regional to the northeast, absolutely no foreign accents, as this character was born in New York City.
The synopsis of the film: Three women attend a restorative retreat run by a creative spiritual instructor. This particular character Skylar is very sweet (genuinely caring), she is an animal rights supporter and has recently lost her job. Formerly very upbeat, she now fluctuates between bubbly and downtrodden, but it is key that she brings a generally uplifting energy to the film.
Shoot will be out of the country on a beach location in the Caribbean, so actress must have valid passport, the ability to travel and absolutely no conflicts with travel datesfcc.
There is no pay, but lodging/airfare is taken care of.
