Progressive, innovative jazz funk hip hop bollywood fusion dance company needs strong versatile dancers.

Bollywood Funk NYC Dance Company, NYC’s only dance company fusing jazz, hip-hop and funk dance styles with the URBAN flavor of Bollywood is seeking high-energy, vibrant, strong dancers for REGULAR HIGH-PROFILE PERFORMANCES (paid and non-paid), beginning immediately. Spring and Summer are our busiest seasons, and we have many performances lined up.

Especially with the recent success of Slumdog Millionaire, we are in more demand than ever. We are an innovative, trend-setting, diverse organization, and we encourage dancers of all ethnicities, as long as you have a genuine interest in learning about and representing the new and modern face of urban Bollywood, NYC style.

PREPARATION: Please prepare 1-2 minute demonstration to showcase your dance skills. Also be prepared to learn jazz/hip hop/funk-based choreography on the spot in a group setting.

REQUIREMENTS TO AUDITION:
-Must be available for weekly company rehearsals on Mon. & Wed. evenings 8-9PM AND Saturday mornings 11AM-1PM…AND extra rehearsals for shows as necessary…starting immediately. No Exceptions.
-Genuine intention to grow as a permanent/long-term member of our company and learn about bollywood culture.
-PREFERRED- strong dance training in Jazz, hip-hop, funk, ballet dance styles.
-Optional- training in bollywood, filmi and classical Indian styles.
-18+
-Ability to learn fast and execute well.
-Must have the right attitude- responsibility, accountability, dedication, discipline, team-player.
-Recent competitive college dance team graduates are encouraged to apply.
